Realize that the most important person in life is mother
The sacrifices and love of your mother cannot be explained in words. Mother is the epitome of unconditional love.

There is no way you can repay your Mother for what she has done to you. She experiences near-death pain to bring you into this world and showers her love on you all your life. People who have experienced or read about poor families will know that there are many times Mother gives all available food to her children and she will go empty-stomach. She does this happily without any complaints.

The least you can do is – spend quality time with your Mother and look after her basic needs. Your responsibility does not end with sending money to her. You need to demonstrate the love you have for her by spending time with her. Do what she likes and not what you think she likes. Understand her needs.
I know of many mothers who lived longer just because of the love their children shower on her. I also know of many people who ignored their mother when she was alive and repent not spending time with her after her death. The fact is - nothing can be done irrespective of how many billions of dollars one can spend. So, those of us who are lucky to still have our mother alive, let's make every possible sincere attempt to be with her and take care of her.

Dr A P J Abdul Kalam, ex-President of India and Leading Defense Scientist of India, has written in the preface of his book "Wings of Fire" about his mother. He remembers the days during World War 2 when there was shortage of food. On one of the nights, Dr Kalam who was a child, found the food tasty and ate everything available in their home unknowingly. His mother served him everything as he kept asking for more. He realized it later that his mother had nothing to eat. She just gave him a smile and mentioned that "My stomach is full just seeing you eating your full". Dr Kalam salutes his mother and mentions that he is waiting for the Judgement Day when he will leave this world and spend time at the feet of his mother.
There are numerous examples to quote and I am sure you had similar experiences in your life.
I sincerely request you to appreciate the value of your mother and do whatever it takes to make her happy.
