My experiences trying to lead a happy life
"Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony." —Mahatma Gandhi
The primary source of these learnings are from listening to:
-
Pravachans of Shri Chaganti Koteshwara Rao
-
Teachings of Shri Shivani from brahmakumaris
-
Messages of Sadhguru
-
Lectures of Dr B M Hegde
I have structured my learnings into 3 levels with 10 learnings per level and I recommend to try and incorporate the messages in level 1 before you go to level 2 and then level 3. Please note – This is just a recommendation and you are free to pick up what is most applicable for your life.
Do Note that all the topics in each level are hyperlinks and clicking on them would lead you to read more about them.
Level 1
The idea of tagging these lessons as Level 1 is – They are relatively simple to understand, hopefully less controversial and easier to implement.
Level 2
In this level, the topics get more challenging to accept and implement. Some of them will sound more "theoretical and not practical". My suggestion is to read them with an open mind and if you feel, something doesn't make sense, just ignore and move on.
-
Facilitate an environment for your children to have a career that they enjoy
-
When helping someone - Thank them for giving you an opportunity to serve
-
Learn to say sorry if you believe you made a mistake and openly acknowledge
-
If someone says sorry wholeheartedly - accept it and remove all bitterness about that person
Level 3
This is the final level that my mind has reached so far. Needless to say, this is like a drop in the ocean and there is so much more to understand and implement.
In my experience, these topics were the hardest to implement. Take a look to see if they make sense to you!
-
Do only those activities which you can freely tell anyone else
-
Take responsibility for your situation. Do not blame others and take control of your life
-
Don’t let others decide what is right for you. How your mind/body works is 100% in your control
-
Recognize that body is a piece of earth and it needs to be returned to earth
-
Understand that everyone thinks different. There are multiple truths that exist
-
Appreciate the fact that your suffering is way less than what many have experienced
