
Appreciate the fact that your suffering is way less than what many have experienced
Many times when we face adverse situations in our life, we tend to think that we are suffering a lot and wonder why I have to suffer so much. A few examples:
Losing a job
A loved one suffering from a sickness
Stock market crash due to recession
Not getting admission in a college of choice
In these situations we need to take a step back and think of relative suffering. If you look at history, you will find many people who have suffered much greater pain than us. These could be in religious scriptures or even in our own circle of family/friends. So, it is important to take a deep breath, accept the situation and then think about what can be done to come out of the situation. Others have come out of much more challenging hurdles. You too can do it. Have faith in yourself and spend your time and energy in fighting the situation rather than sulking and letting the negative energy engulf you.
